Self Proclaimed 9/11 Mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed to be tried in New York City.

The self proclaimed mastermind of the 9/11 attack's, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other GITMO detainees (Walid bin Attash, Ramzi Binalshibh, Mustafa Ahmad al-Hawsawi, Ali Abd Al-Aziz Ali) will be tried in New York City. This should be one of the most followed trial's, in the history of the United States justice system, here and overseas. I ask those of you who will follow this trial to continually think, of the 2,973 innocent men and women, who lost their lives, on September 11th, 2001 and the families and friend's they left behind, please do not get caught up in the media frenzy this is going to cause, think of those innocent 2,973 men and women and pray for their families and friend's.

Fort Hood, Texas Shooting's, November 5th, 2009.

Our heart's go out to the men and women who were so brutally murdered, at Fort Hood, Texas, as well as to all the surviving wounded and all of the families impacted by this. This shooting was senseless and we hope justice, although possibly delayed will eventually convict the person who was responsible, for this horrific act.

Iran Celebrates 30th Anniversary, of U.S. Embassy Take Over.

The mad Mullah's, of Iran are permitting celebration's of the 30 anniversary, of the U.S. Embassy Hostage Crisis, of 1979. Why is this despotic regime led by madmen doing this? When will the people of Iran have the freedom and basic human right's they so richly deserve? When will these mad Mullah's, with their hatred and inate evil, come to understand that the Islam they preach, is not the Islam of the Prophet Mohamed or the Holy Koran? History will answer all these question's, but until then the good people of Iran, like the Embassy Staff in 1979, are being held hostage and have been for the last 30 year's.

"Mermaid Girl" Shiloh Pepin, Age 10, Passes Away.

Shiloh Pepin, age 10, known as the "Mermaid Girl" because of a rare condition she suffered from which fused her leg's together, passed away this past Friday. She had only one partial kidney and no lower colon or genital organ's and when born was never expected to live, more than a few day's. Shiloh used her condition to educate other's about her plight. She had a contagious smile and her story was featured in many new's outlet's and program's, including an appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show". This young girl was so courageous, in life and never let her condition be a liability, but instead used it to teach other's, about adversity and how to overcome it. May She Rest In Peace.

Man Plead's Guilty To "Driving While Intoxicated", For Driving Motorized La-Z Boy Chair.

Dennis Leroy Anderson pleaded guilty to D.W.I. after being caught driving a motorized La-Z Boy chair. The 62 year old had a blood alcohol level of 0.29 and was caught by Police, in the Minnesotta town, of Proctor, in August, of 2008. The chair was powered, by a lawn mower engine and was equipped with a stereo, cup holder's and light's! He was caught after hitting a parked car and recieved a suspended sentence of 180 day's and two year's probation, this past Monday. // Yes, this is insane, BUT we didn't make this up, I really wish I could come up with stuff like this on my own > Welcome once again to the Strange, Strange World, of Crypto Cuba, and yes, he win's the "Crypto Cuba Dodo Bird Award", for just being as slick and smart, as a flightless Dodo, being chased by 3 hairy baby whales, on land!! "Addams Family" and "Green Acres" Theme Song Composer, Vic Mizzy, Passes Away.

Vic Mizzy, (born January 9th, 1916-died October 17th, 2009), the composer, of the famous "Addams Family" and "Green Acres" theme song's, passed away. He was 93 year's old. He is famous not only for these two well known hit's, but also for various song's he composed, for Billie Holiday, Dean Martin, Doris Day, Perry Cuomo and various other's. May He Rest In Peace.

F.B.I. Arrest's Alleged Spy and Former N.A.S.A Scientist, Stewart David Nozette.

The F.B.I. arrested 52 year old scientist, Stewart David Nozette, yesterday, for allegedly trying to sell secret's, to a person he thought was an Israeli Intelligence Agent. The "Agent" was actually an F.B.I. undercover officer and Nozette is expected to be arraigned today, on Federal Charge's. Nozette developed the Clementine Bi-Static Radar Experiment, which is credited with the discovery, of water, on the Moon.
What a waste of a mind this will be in a Federal Prison, BUT, if he is found guilty, he should pay, for his treason, against our nation, with the maximum sentence permitted, by law.

Al Sharpton Threaten's To Sue Rush Limbaugh, over Wall Street Journal Op-Ed.

Al Sharpton on Sunday threatened to sue Rush Limbaugh, over an Op-Ed piece that Limbaugh wrote, for The Wall Street Journal, on Saturday, which mentioned Sharpton, unless he apologized. This should be a very interesting trial, if it ever occur's, but regardless, both men will get plenty of free publicity this week, as this play's out in the Media, for who know's how long. I personally do not think Rush Limbaugh will ever apologize to Al Sharpton, for anything or any reason, ever, so we might get a trial out of this after all, unless Al Sharpton is bluffing and then boy oh boy, we shall witness the biggest media circus EVER. A Roman Circus would be a side-show to this.  

Kourtney Kardashian's Home Robbed and between $75,000 to $100,000 worth of Jewelry Stolen.

It look's like crook's had an eye on Kourtney Kardashian's home and made off with approximately $75,000 to $100,000 worth of jewelry, this weekend. Kourtney is engaged to Scott Disick, with whom she is expecting a baby. The theft was reported to include vintage jewelry and a $30,000 Cartier Watch. I hope they catch the creep's who committed this crime and sentence them to the max. Today it's a rich celebrity getting robbed and tomorrow it can be you or a loved one.

Stephanie Pratt, Star of the MTV show "The Hill's", and sister of Spencer Pratt, was arrested for suspicion of D.U.I.

Stephanie Pratt, star of the MTV show "The Hills" and sister to Spencer Pratt, was arrested, for suspicion of D.U.I. yesterday and released on a $5000 Bail. This is the second time she has been arrested, the first being, in May 2006, on shoplifting charges. She then pled guilty to 2nd Degree Theft charges and was given a deferred 5 year sentence, she also paid $3000, to a Crime Victim's Compensation Fund.

Billionaire Raj Rajaratnam Arrested for Alleged Insider Trading, in New York City.

Billionaire Raj Rajaratnam, who is a partner, in Galleon Management and a portfolio manager for Galleon Group, was arrested yesterday, in New York City, for alleged insider trading. Federal Authorities claim he made more than 12.7 million dollar's, from the various insider trading tip's he recieved. He was arrested along with 5 other financially connected individual's and as we have repeatedly seen on Wall Street, this might be the very "tip" (pardon the pun), of this iceberg. I am sure that as more information is revealed, more name's, might be added to this mix. Who know's what secret's these 6 might spill, if given a plea deal, of some type and who will be the first to crack and accept one? Remember everyone is innocent until proven guilty. We shall wait and see what happen's and how this story developes.

Louisiana Justice of The Peace, refuses to marry Interracial Couple.

Keith Barwell, Justice of The Peace, for Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana has refused to marry an interracial couple, claiming children from such union's face "troubling futures". Barwell refused to issue a marriage license to Terrence McKay, who is black and  Beth Humphrey, who is white, last month.
Keith Barwell and his discriminatory and bigoted thinking have no place, in Louisiana or any other state. The only person who seems to have a "troubling future" politically and morally, is Mr. Bardwell, who should resign immediately, for his ignorance, discrimination and bigotry. The people of Louisiana (and the nation) deserve better than this throwback, to Jim Crow. /// Since this posting in October, Mr. Barwell has resigned. 

The Crypt above Marilyn Monroe's Tomb to be once again auctioned on EBAY.

The Crypt above the tomb, of Marilyn Monroe, at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery, is going back to the auction block. Ebay will be auctioning the crypt begining on October 19th. The bidding will begin at $500,000 and if successful will probably be sold, for a few million dollar's. The crypt is presently owned by Mrs. Elsie Poncher and before that was owned, by her late husband. 

Avril Lavigne Files For Divorce.

Avril Lavigne today filed for divorce, from her husband Deryck Whibley lead singer of Sum 41. Avril, age 25 cited "irreconcilable differences", as her reason. She has been married, for 3 year's and approximately a month.

Captain Lou Albano 1933-2009, W.W.F. Professional Wrestler, Passes Away.

Captain Lou Albano famous for his career as a Professional Wrestler for the W.W.F., passed away this morning. He became known to non-wrestling fan's, as Cyndi Lauper's father, in the video "Girl's Just Wanna Have Fun" and had a small roll in Brian De Palma's movie "Wise Guy's". He was a true icon of the 1980's. May He Rest In Peace.

Edgar Allen Poe, Re-Buried 160 Year's After His Death.

Edgar Allen Poe was re-buried this past Sunday, 160 year's after his death, which sadly was only attended when he was first buried, by only 7 mourner's. He funeral was attended by over 1400 people this time around, in Baltimore, Maryland . Edgar Allen Poe (January 19th, 1809-October 7th, 1849), was a master of written mystery and the macabre. May He Rest In Peace.

The Spanish American War and Philippine Insurrection 1898-1902, Uniform's Book.

I recently purchased a copy of this book and highly recommend it to anyone interested in the history and uniform's, of the Spanish American War and Philippine Insurrection. The book was written by Alejandro De Quesada and illustrated by Stephen Walsh and is part of Osprey Publication's Men-At-War Series. It is available on http://www.amazon.com/ and makes a great gift for anyone interested in learning about the war or anyone who had ancestor's in the war. The book includes not only U.S. Troop's uniform's, but also those of The Cuban Liberation Army, The Spanish Army and also Filipino's. It is a "must have" for student's of The Spanish American War and Philippine Insurrection.

President Barack Hussein Obama Awarded Nobel Peace Prize For 2009 // El Presidente Barack Hussein Obama Gana El Premio Nobel Para 2009.

Barack Hussein Obama, 44th President of The United States of America, has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, for 2009. He is the third sitting United States President to recieve the award, the first being Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt, in 1906, the 26th President, followed by Thomas Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President, of the United States, in 1919. There have been other former United States President's who have won the Nobel Prize, but these were not in office, when they recieved the Award (Jimmy Carter 2002, and Vice President Al Gore, in 2007, who shared the Award with the United Nation's Panel on Climate Change).

Anne Frank Film Found

Anne Frank (born June 12th, 1929, Germany-died early March 1945, Bergen Belsen Concentration Camp), whose Diary showed the world the terror, of the Holocaust, was filmed, on July 22nd, 1941. Her neighbor was getting married and she appears very briefly looking out her window, from her home, in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The film is available online, in various sites, but to get a true understanding, of Anne and her family, I would suggest going to The Anne Frank House Museum http://www.annefrank.org/, to get the full story, of this wonderful young girl, whose life and that of her family (and the families of million's of other's) were destroyed, by hatred, madness and anti-semitism.

Ivory Billed Woodpecker // El Carpintero Real

Here is another Ivory Billed Wood Pecker stamp, from Communist Cuba. This stamp depicts the Cuban Ivory Billed Woodpecker (Campephilus Principalis Bairdii) and was printed, in 1961-1962, for the Christmas Season, which was soon to be outlawed, by the Communist Regime. The Ivory Billed Woodpecker was last sighted in Cuba , in 1987, in the old Province of Oriente.

Ivory Billed Woodpecker // El Carpintero Real

This stamp depict's the Ivory Billed Woodpecker sub species (Campephilus Principalis Bairdii), which "might" still possibly exist, in eastern Cuba. This is a $5 Peso stamp and was released in 1956, by the Cuban Government. The Cuban sub-species, has not been sighted, since 1987. The U.S. Ivory Billed Woodpecker (Campephilus Principalis) might also still exist, in the south eastern U.S. where there have been numerous unconfirmed sighting's since the late 1940's, including one by myself, in 1994 and the famous Arkansas sighting's and video, from 2005.

I dedicate this Blog today, to Miss Mary Jo Kopechne (born July 26th, 1940), who died at

Chappaquiddick Island, Massachussets, on July 18th, 1969. // I suggest you read the WIKI article on her and learn the whole story. While another is being remembered, given tributes and honored today, on radio and television, Mary Jo seem's to have been forgotten, in the eulogies and rememberence's, and today, at Saint Vincent's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, in Plymouth, Pennsylvania, I hope someone places a Rose, on her tomb, other's have forgotten you, but on this day, I only remember you and your smile.

No Toilet Paper In Cuba // Cuba Sin Papel de Bano

The Communist "disgoverment" of Cuba has announced that it is incapable, of supplying toilet paper, to the Cuban people. What a total disaster Cuba has become since 1959. What an absolute disaster, it leaves me speachless (this is the same country that boasts of it's so called medical care!!). The Cuban people need a regime change and free multi-party elections, as the "Socialist / Communist utopia" which has slain thousand's of it's own people and jailed thousand's for "thought crime's", shows with this toilet paper fiasco, the total abject failure, it has always been and will continue, to be under the rule of Communism and the Castro brother's.

Corazon Aquino the 1st female President of The Philippines, was laid to rest yesterday. She was the 11th President of The Philippines, and served from 1986-1992. May She Rest In Peace.

Remember our P.O.W, P.F.C, Bowe R. Bergdahl

The Taliban released a video of Private First Class, Bowe R. Bergdahl, age 23, of Hailey, Idaho, who was captured on June 30th, 2009, while engaged in action's against the Taliban, in Eastern Afghanistan. Remember our Prisoner of War, and his family, during this dark and uncertain time, and keep them, in your thought's and prayer's.

Dodo Bird Stamp from Laos

I was able to find a few more stamps featuring the Dodo Bird (Raphus Cucullatus). This one is from the Nation of Laos and appeared, in 1994. There are a few more examples of the Dodo Bird appearing on stamps and when I am able to locate them I will add them to the Blog. There are many Cryptozoological Creatures which have appeared, on stamps, through out the world and I am going to post some from my personal collection, for you to see and enjoy. If you notice the bottom of the stamp say's it is a prehistoric bird, in French, which it isn't BUT, at least Laos had a stamp made representing a Dodo, even if they got the prehistoric part wrong.

Cuban Dodo Bird Stamp

The Cuban Communist Government, in 1974 put out this stamp depicting a Dodo Bird (Raphus Cucullatus). That year they put out a series, of stamps depicting Extinct Bird's. The Dodo was a flightless bird found, on the Island of Mauritius, in the Indian Ocean and was a close relative of Pigeon's and Dove's. The last confirmed sighting, of the Dodo, was in 1682, although a few other sighting's and report's filtered in, between 1682 and 1695, it seem's it was extinct, by 1700.
